Oh my gosh. This yoga mat is exquisite! The color and design are gorgeous. When i do my yoga, the art deco puts me in a great mood.
I was going to buy a synthetic mat online. But recently, i have been more health conscience. Trying to avoid synthetic whenever possible. I found you on Instragram. Glad I did! Very happy with my mat. The qualify is great.

It took me a few tries to find the right mat for my practice. This has the perfect balance of cushion and grip. I like the texture of the cork for this mat the best, compared to the Original and Unity. It’s smoother but still provides good grip with sweat. The design also comes out much brighter with the smoother texture! If you’re unsure of which is best, definitely buy the sample sets.

So, I'm from the UK so I had to think very carefully about this purchase. I did lots of research and thinking about my holy mat grail. I spend a lot of time on my mat in my regular hot yoga practice, and I was so drawn to the beautiful 70's inspired design and colour palate, that I decided to go for it and treat myself. I am SO HAPPY that I did. This is the best mat I have ever owned. The Aura cork mat is so comfortable and warm, it really helps my practice as I am never in discomfort with my knees or tops of my feet, getting onto the mat is an honour and I give gratitude every time I feel her warmth beneath my body. And she is so beautiful she just brings me joy.

Flight Home Aura Cork Yoga Mat

I use my Aura yoga mat on a workout area that I have layered with black Foam Puzzle Mats. I use my Aura mat for my yoga practice, daily stretching, and as a general hand/foot placement guide while doing my other cardio routines.

I initially purchased the Nomad but it was too thin and would crumple/crease under my hands and feet. (I’m male, 5’ 9”, 185lbs) I tried the Unity mat but it was a bit rough on my knees/legs. The Aura works well in that it is comfortably soft and it retains its structure while in use.

My dislikes are that it has minimal grip beneath so it slides on the Foam Puzzle Mats. I can push the Aura along the surface of the Foam Puzzle mats with my toe. The Nomad and Unity mats would not slide so I had to pick them up and reposition them by hand. Grip is a good thing.

The other thing I noticed is that while the Aura is soft, it releases tiny granular black particles from its surface. This requires it to be wiped off daily. I’ve vacuumed it a few times when the particles proved stubborn.

Plus, some of these granular particles are slow in releasing from the Aura mat surface. They start out as these tiny hairlike protrusions kinda like hair stubble. There’s only the occasional stubble here and there (I’d estimate one stubble for every 3 ft of mat length) so it’s just a matter of readjusting my hand or foot placement but they’re there. The stubble doesn’t hurt because they’re so tiny but it is noticeable compared to the surrounding smooth surface. Maybe this will work itself out with time and use.

Suggestion: If the texture used on the underside of the Unity could be applied to the Aura, it would be great. The occasional stubble is not a deal breaker for me.

I really love the design and wanted to love it. However, I ordered this one and a manduka yoga mat at the same time to decide which one will be my mat and ended up really loving the manduka one even tho I was expecting to love this one more. Haha. It is mainly due to the grip feeling. But this one is so beautiful. Great designs here.
