Rooted in Gratitude

Posted by Nicole Lennox on

One of the major premises Yoloha was founded upon is Community. The Community has played an imperative role in the development of our brand. Therefore, our team has made a conscious effort from the beginning to give back wherever we can. Whether it be supporting the planet with our eco-friendly and sustainable products or donating these products to organizations who align with our mission.  Our Yoloha family is incredibly thankful to everyone who has made this greatness possible. We would love to shine light on some of the Youth Organizations, Veteran Programs and Healthcare Workers we have had the honor of working with.

Youth Organizations

Empowered Minds

Empowered Minds is a local youth program dedicated to teaching yoga and mindfulness to students and to creating learning-ready and compassionate classrooms. They help students cultivate the social emotional learning skills of resilience, self-worth, self-control, kindness and awareness so that they thrive at school, at home, and in their communities.

Holistic Life Foundation

The Holistic Life Foundation is a Baltimore-based nonprofit organization committed to nurturing the wellness of children and adults in underserved communities. Through a comprehensive approach which helps children develop their inner lives through yoga, mindfulness, and self-care HLF demonstrates deep commitment to learning, community, and stewardship of the environment. HLF is also committed to developing high-quality evidence based programs and curriculum to improve community well-being.

James Island Elementary School

James Island Elementary School is a local school committed to incorporating yoga and mindfulness into their curriculum. These kids’ faces absolutely lit up when they found out they were receiving cork yoga mats for school. Priceless!

James Island Charter Baseball Team

The James Island Charter Varsity Baseball Team was looking to implement yoga into their training. Yoloha donated mats to help make this possible!

Veteran Programs

Warrior Surf

Warrior Surf Foundation is a surf and yoga therapy program that strives to enhance the psychological and physical well-being of Veterans, active duty service members, and their families through the experience of surfing and yoga. Yoloha is proud to donate a cork yoga mat to every veteran who completes the 12 week course to help continue their practice in their local community.

Team RWB

Team RWB is dedicated to enriching the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity.

Healthcare Workers

Desert Springs ICU Nurses

We are so appreciative of all healthcare workers, especially during this crazy time. To show our appreciation, we donated mats to our friends working in the ICU at Desert Springs Hospital. Here’s what they had to say:

“Thank you again for supporting healthcare workers during these crazy times. My ICU coworkers and I appreciate this so much It has boosted the morale of the unit.”

Charleston Yoga Therapy

Charleston Yoga Therapy consists of an occupational therapist and therapeutic yoga instructor who offers adaptive, accessible and universal yoga for individuals of all abilities. We donated mats to help make this possible. Here is what she had to say:

“Today we’re sending huge gratitude to the folks over at Yoloha Yoga for the incredible donation of mats! Thank you for allowing us to reach and teach even more individuals in the community with special needs, chronic health conditions and disabilities! We are so honored.”

Transformation Yoga

Transformation Yoga serves marginalized, underserved, and underrepresented communities with yoga and meditation as tools for liberation.

Thank you again to all of these amazing organizations and humans who contribute to the goodness of the world. Yoloha sees you, hears you, and appreciates you. Keep doing what you are doing!

Namaste,

Your Yoloha Family
