Meet the Artists: 2025 Artist Contest Winners

Posted by Yoloha Yoga on

Each year, we invite artists from around the world to infuse their creativity, stories, and vision into the very mats that support your practice. This year’s winners brought bold color, movement, and emotion to life in three uniquely inspired designs. Meet the artists behind Zest for Life, Swirly Flow, and Tiger Lotus—and get a glimpse into the hearts and minds that shaped them.

Zest for Life

by Chelsea Cox

Inspiration Behind the Design:
Inspired by the gentle warmth of a breeze drifting through a sun-drenched orange grove, Zest for Life evokes a sense of calm and quiet energy. Designed to transport you with every practice, this mat grounds you in peace, wraps you in tranquility, and uplifts you with a vibrant touch of citrus zest.

Where Chelsea’s Journey Began:
“I’ve been drawn to art and creativity for as long as I can remember,” Chelsea shares. That passion led her to a degree in fashion design, where she discovered a love for graphic design while creating custom textile prints for swimwear. Today, she continues to nurture her creativity both professionally and personally.

On Her Artistic Style:
Chelsea describes her work as playful yet clean—“a balance between simplicity and fun.” She leans into bold colors and shapes, allowing her designs to reflect a lighthearted and spontaneous energy. “I don’t believe in taking life too seriously,” she says, “and I like my designs to mirror that.”

Yoga in Her Life:
A dancer from a young age, yoga has always been part of Chelsea’s life. It became one of her favorite ways to ground herself and spark inspiration. It’s also a shared bond with her mom, a longtime yoga teacher. “I always love learning from her and her unique approach to the practice,” she adds.

Swirly Flow

by Morgan Terwilliger

Inspiration Behind the Design:
Swirly Flow captures the seamless transitions between yoga poses—each one swirling into the next. The central eye represents the awakening of new perspectives that emerge through mindful movement and connection.

Where Morgan’s Journey Began:
Surrounded by creatives growing up, Morgan’s artistic roots run deep. But it wasn’t until 2022 that she stepped away from corporate life and fully embraced her artistic path. “It felt like finally answering a call I’d been hearing for years,” she reflects.

On Her Artistic Style:
Groovy, graphic, and joyful—Morgan’s work draws from the small wonders of everyday life. Nature is a constant muse, and her designs are full of bold, playful color palettes that reflect the vibrancy she sees in the world.

Yoga in Her Life:
For Morgan, yoga offers clarity and calm. “Tuning into the movement and principles of yoga invites peace to my otherwise chaotic artist brain,” she says. “It’s a state of swirly flow that realigns my spirit, body, and mind—every single time.”

Tiger Lotus

by Susan Ippolito

Inspiration Behind the Design:
Like the powerful bloom it’s named after, Tiger Lotus represents strength rooted in softness—fierce, radiant, and full of soul. (Note: no inspiration statement was included for Susan, so this line can be updated if needed.)

Where Susan’s Journey Began:
Susan’s creativity bloomed early. “Petals from the garden, chalky sidewalk stones, old shimmery makeup—whatever I could get my hands on,” she laughs. That early resourcefulness became her creative superpower. Guided by the mantra where there’s a will, there’s a way, Susan’s journey has grown from childhood curiosity to heartfelt commissioned work—always infused with wonder and joy.

On Her Artistic Style:
Susan’s style is expressive and full of feeling. “I find so much beauty in imperfection,” she says. She embraces raw, playful moments and celebrates light, color, and the joyful messiness of life.

Yoga in Her Life:
Yoga is Susan’s sanctuary. “When life feels loud or fast, it’s the place I go to be still, be calm, and be true,” she says. Her time on the mat helps her notice more beauty in the world, feel more connected, and stay present. “It’s a gift to be so aware,” she reflects.
