This design grew out of a lifelong love of trees and the quiet confidence of the forest. The commanding stature and sculpted nature of trees inspire me. Standing beneath them brings a sense of tranquility. A trip to Yosemite made the sequoia especially meaningful, but this artwork is a tribute to the peaceful presence of trees everywhere.

I believe that humans and nature can live together in balance. Somewhere along the way we have forgotten our deep connection with it - for without nature there is no humans. I have hope that the balance can be restored through continuous practice of remembering and protecting where we came from. 

Sea Witch came from my love of moonlit nights on the beach. Listening to the waves and watching the light play against the dark waves was the best way for me to meditate and feel at peace. But of course, fantasy and whimsy are a big part of my designs and I thought the image of a strong powerful woman, Sea Witch, fit well with the yoga aesthetic. Combining these two ideas brought my Sea Witch to life.
