1st Place Winner

El Dorado

Caitlin Kadell is a mom, wife, Marine Corps veteran, and certified yoga teacher. Although paused for personal reasons, she and another yoga teacher provided free yoga for local veterans through the veterans organization she helps run for a while. Her goal with that program was to bring more yoga to the veteran community since she herself had benefitted from it. She wanted veterans to give it a try in a safe space among other veterans. Caitlin lives in a small town and works remotely helping veterans with their disability claims and does freelance graphic design work on the side. Although sometimes on the back burner, art has always been an outlet for Caitlin, just like yoga.

2nd Place Winner

Rise Up

Honor Heindl is a mental health therapist, amateur doodler, and yogi currently living in New Mexico. Yoga and art are core components of what sustains her, so being able to combine her love of both through Yoloha Yoga's art contest was an absolute delight. Her greatest desire is to use words, art, and movement to help build bridges, tear down walls, tend to wounds, empower individuals, and eradicate loneliness and shame. She wants everyone who interacts with her artwork to be reminded and affirmed of their belonging and place in the family of things.

She specializes in various digital mediums as well as traditional mediums that include creating with charcoal, acrylic paint, printmaking, and glass. She has been creative ever since she could hold a crayon and turned that passion into her career as well. She also prioritizes her physical and emotional health, and yoga has aided in that very much.
