Developed out of our effort to reduce the environmental impact on our planet, Plant Foam is made from sugarcane. Combined with our signature, sustainable cork surface we have achieved yoga mats made with up to 83% renewable materials. All our yoga mats have been certified by the USDA biopreferred program to ensure bio-based content.

Crops used to create Plant Foam work to remove more greenhouse gases from the atmosphere as they grow. 95% of the water utilized by a typical sugarcane mill is treated and re-used, minimizing water usage.

No trees are cut down to harvest the cork. Instead, their bark is carefully stripped away by hand in a skilled trade that is passed down over generations. While regenerating their bark, cork trees absorb five times more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere vs. non-harvested trees.
